In development: PTFE-based sputtered copper flexible material for high-frequency applications
As 5G/6G mmWave, LEO satellite, and automotive radar push into higher frequencies, signal loss is becoming a critical design bottleneck.
We’re developing a single-sided copper-sputtered PTFE film to give RF and antenna designers another option:
✅ Ultra-low dielectric loss: PTFE offers Dk ≈ 2.1 and Df in the 0.0002–0.0005 range, well suited to mmWave bands
✅ Adhesive-free construction: Copper is sputtered directly onto PTFE, with no adhesive layer adding loss
✅ Flexible copper thickness: 2–18 μm, customizable from fine-line patterns to high-current designs
✅ PTFE thickness options: 50 μm / 100 μm
✅ Chemical resistance, high-temperature tolerance, low moisture uptake
Potential applications:
- mmWave antennas and high-speed transmission lines
- Satellite communication terminals
- Automotive 77/79 GHz radar
- Medical devices and sensors
- Semiconductor equipment and harsh-environment sensing
The material is currently in development. We’d love to connect with RF/antenna design and materials engineering teams working on low-loss flexible substrates. DM us or comment below to request specifications or discuss sample collaboration.
